New South Wales Strata Management

Strata Choices Stack Up Strong

26/09/2006

Finding a quality strata title manager has never been easier thanks to the home computer and the simplicity of on-line searches. This means that an owners’ corporation can conveniently source the range of services available via the internet through contact with either the Institute of Strata Titles Managers or through the Yellow Pages.

Increasingly, those responsible for looking after the operations of a strata titled building look to professional management services for assistance. They do so not only because management duties have become more complex but also because they have become affordable and practical.

Economies of scale are making it possible for highly professional services to be available to all, with strata managers now almost indispensable.

Picking a supplier has become easier too. A peak industry body lists all accredited state managers and makes them easy to find, either via post code or by company name.

Logging onto www.istm.org.au brings up the Institute of Strata Titles Managers.

Sydney-siders wanting to locate a NSW manager do not even have to know the name of a company. All that is needed is to log onto the site and place the letter “n” for New South Wales in the name block.

Onto the screen will come not only a listing of companies but even the specific name and contact details of the companies’ managers. Some management companies have an impressive number of fully trained managers, a strong sign that sufficient talent is available to handle a wide range of needs.

One such company is New South Wales Strata Management, which lists some 17 managers. Its website sets out precisely the wide range of services available and highlights the fact that owners’ corporations can select the specific level services they need, an important part of minimising costs.

Keying-in the email address ‘New South Wales Strata Management’ onto Google for example not only brings up a complete listing of services but also such headings as ‘quotations’, ‘contacts’, ‘payment options’ and even ‘emergency repairs’.

By making access to such services so easy there is no reason for an owners’ corporation to do business with a strata manager that fails to measure up.

With the rise and rise of strata titled living, it can be comforting to know that modern management companies now live up to high expectations.

New South Wales Strata Management (formerly Gilmour Strata Management) commenced business in early 1991, as a member of the highly respected J A Gilmour & Sons group of companies. Licensed solely and specialising only in strata management services, the company has steadily grown to become one of the largest such organisations in New South Wales.
